3C 's Stamptember Collaboration Set -- Anita Jeram Life Happens

Hey everyone! Daniel West, here, for Colorado Craft Company. We are so excited to share in Stamptember's joy with Simon Says Stamp. Our collaboration set was drawn by Anita Jeram, called Life Happens.

These illustrations have never been shown by Anita before and were created specifically for this Stamptember collaboration. So if you collect these Anita Jeram stamps, or if you adore them as much as I do, don't wait to shop. Once they are gone, they will not be re-stocked.

Anita Jeram Sweetest Birthday Card

Steps to creating this card! (All supplies are linked in the grid below)

  1. To begin, stamp out the images on copy paper and fussy cut them with scissors.

  2. Next, add them one by one to the front of a card panel stamping the complete images first and the images with hidden parts next.

  3. Make sure to use Copic Marker-friendly ink, like Hero Arts Intensified Black or Picket Fence Hybrid Ink Pad.

  4. Next, color in the images with Copic markers. I call this Storybook Style Coloring. It pairs perfectly with the whimsy of Anita Jeram's images. Here I used: R32, R35, R39, YG99, YG67, YG63, YG61, E13, E18 & E79.

  5. After coloring in the images, I added a sky around the images and horizon with a B41 and some grass with YG67 and YG63.

  6. Next, trim down the panel a 1/4" on all sides.

  7. Then, stamp the sentiment over the scene in black ink.

  8. Next, pop up the panel over an A2 sized card base with foam tape.

  9. To finish off the card, add some embellishments with liquid adhesive to the front. I used Boiled Sugar Jelly Hearts.

I have another card over on my blog, here!

This style of coloring is super fun and easy. I love the results, too! They remind me of watercolor. I hope you'll give it a try. And I hope you're able to shop the fabulous new stamp set from CCC & SSS!
